4 have linked Green School work to their Discovery of the World topic of Energy as we are embedding sustainability into our learning and living.
t is not yet possible to read the meter in the Primary and Materna so they have examined our electricity bills and our LED light project that is almost complete across the school.
The children have decided that all classess need to be more proactive with reducing energy so they have created a campaign called ‘GEM’ (Green Energy Monitor).
They have written rules for classes to follow and designed and made badges for monitors in each classroom.
The children have also recommended that the school switch to a 100% renewable energy provider and are writing to our Finance Director to request more photovoltaic panels for the Primary and Materna buildings.
